Ruby Valley trek is one of the popular and highly demanding treks in the country of Nepal. It has recently risen in popularity which is remote and off-the-beaten-path. This is in comparison to the better-known teahouse treks in Nepal. The tour takes you to the good-looking forest of Rhododendron and Saal, powerful waterfalls, and glaciers. Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

On this day, our tour begins from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Our representative will come to pick you at the airport. From there, you will be taken away to our respective hotel for relaxation. We may also go for the short shopping if you are willing.

Day 2 : Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation

Before heading to the Himalayas you must be familiar with quite a few things. Guidance and research for the trek are mandatory for everyone. You will be dealing with a strange experience but finally, with some groundwork, you can deal with it. You should be cautious with your bag pack. Carrying needless equipment will make your journey difficult. We will grasp up on some final shopping if there is free time. You will get the opportunity to explore Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Swayambhunath Stupa. They have been scheduled in the UNESCO world heritage sites. These sites display the full range of historic and artistic achievements. Kathmandu Valley is world-famous for such beauty. Overnight stay will be at this city.

Day 3 : Drive to Syabrubesi

On this day, we will be moving from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. For this, we will be using the local bus or jeep early in the morning. It takes around 5-6 hours for the bus ride. You will get the opportunity to observe magical land and picturesque views. On arrival, you will have your hotel room at Sybrubesi. You may get refreshed and enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 4 : Trek to Gatlang

Today, we will be starting our trek to Gatlang village. It is located along the Tamang heritage path. Tamang is considered a native tribe to the Rasuwa region. It is famous for its traditional culture, heritage, and rituals. Explore the local village to your willingness and desire. You will get to observe terraced fields. We will have dinner at a local lodge where we stay overnight.

Day 5 : Trek to Somdang

On this day, we begin with a beautiful breakfast at Somdang. We move on right after a quick breakfast at the hotel. The path gradually climbs towards Yuri Kharka. There are lush forests of rhododendron and pine. You will get to observe outstanding views of Langtang and Ganesh Himal ranges. While ascending to the top, it takes us up to five hours. The path is a very gentle climb. Sometimes, you have access to the road that you can also follow up. In this way, we will follow the downwards path to the Somdang river. This is a boundary area for Rasuwa and Dhading districts. We will also enjoy the scenic view of Somdang valley. On the way, you will get to observe the Chukarma waterfall. This exceeds a length of 200 meters. Overnight stay will be at a local lodge.

Day 6 : Trek to Tiplang via Pasang Kharka pass

We will grab an early breakfast and start ascending towards the Pangsang-La. It is located at an altitude of 3900 meters. It is high above sea level which is the highest point of the region. At Pasang, we could enjoy the mesmerizing panoramic mountain views. You could see Langtang, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal ranges. This region has diverse culture along with natural beauty. You will get to explore diverse flora and fauna. After few hours of trek, we arrive at Tiplang. Overnight stay will be at a stone hut.

Day 7 : Trek to Chalis Gaon

Today, we will descend to Chalish village. It is the cultural hub to witness the Tamang and Gurung communities. You will pass through several Buddhist prayer flags. We will be welcomed by the local people from the mother and father development community. If you are lucky, you may also observe a traditional Jhankari Shaman dance. It is influenced by both Tibetan and Hindu culture. We will be staying with the local family to get an insight into the rural community. Overnight stay will be at Chalis Gaon.

Day 8 : Chalis Gaon: Rest and acclimatization

On this day, we will spend one more day exploring this beautiful village. You will get to observe green pastures, rice fields, rivers, forests, and rhododendron, etc. Chalis Gaon is very famous for the traditional lifestyle of people. People here are mainly engaged in agriculture and cattle rearing. Do not forget to take your camera and click the beautiful memories in this region. We will be staying overnight at a local house.

Day 9 : Trek to Dundure Khola

On this day, we will be heading towards Dundure Khola. Today, we end our trekking journey officially. Dundure Khola is famous for fishing. People may also rarely enjoy boating if possible. You may also find traditional herbs and plants by the river. These herbs have their values and can be used for medicinal purposes. Dundure Khola is a fast-flowing river and the surrounding environment within it is very calm, cool, and pleasant. Overnight stay will be at local house.

Day 10 : Drive from Dhading Besi to Kathmandu

Today, we say good-bye to Dundure Khola and head towards Dhading Besi. Dhading Besi is the headquarter of Dhading district. You may also observe the local markets on the way.  
We will stay at a local hotel and enjoy the good food.  Today, we will also be driving back to Kathmandu. The drive towards Kathmandu offers an opportunity to enjoy hill and mountain landscapes. After that, we come across the bank of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. Moreover, there are beautiful villages with farming terraces on both sides of the road. The overnight stay will be at Kathmandu. We may also visit the malls of Kathmandu for shopping if there is leisure time.

Day 11 : Final Departure

Today is the day to say goodbye to one of the astonishing country Nepal. You may enjoy your last moment with breakfast in a café. A representative will meet you at the hotel. He/She will drive you to the airport for your return flight. It is good to be airport two hours before the actual departure.

You will have to walk for 5-6 hours during this trek. So, it is advised to do some regular exercise before you go on a trip. The entire trek needs some physical fitness. 
 

We generally consider autumn as the best season for this trek. In this season, you may experience beautiful mountains and green hills. The weather is normally clear with mild to warm days. You may also practice cold nights. 
 

You may try both ways, either through a guide or without a guide. You may need to issue some permits. You at least need to hike a trekking guide for a strenuous trek. You need to go through a legal trekking company to get permits for the Upper Mustang trek. 
 

Trekking needs few days of walking that is continuous. You may find it difficult and boring at some times. Sometimes, you also need to fight with the high altitude. Trekking is not exhausting if you are reasonably fit. We design our trek to make your journey comfortable.
