Trip Description

The Nagi Narchyang trek is an attractive and exigent trek that brings you closer to the high Himalayas from Nepal. Therefore, it is not a gigantic surprise for any person to stay longer on the trip. Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu

Your journey begins with your arrival in the bustling capital city of Nepal,
Kathmandu. A representative from our team will arrive for your pickup at TIA
who will assist you together with your luggage and transportation to your hotel. There are no planned activities for the day, so you'll check your hotel and luxuriate in the afternoon and evening at your leisure. You may simply want to rest after your long flight, but the lively tourist markets and restaurants of the Thamel are an enticing draw for many visitors.

Day 2 : Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparation

Before heading to the Himalayas you must be familiar with quite a few things. Guidance and research for the trek are mandatory for everyone. You will be dealing with a strange experience but finally, with some groundwork, you can deal with it. You should be cautious with your bag pack. Carrying needless equipment will make your journey difficult. We will grasp up on some final shopping if there is free time. You will get the opportunity to explore Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Swayambhunath Stupa. They have been scheduled in the UNESCO world heritage sites. Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Galeshwor

We will be driving to the village of Galeshwor on this day. The 8-9 hours drive towards Galeshwor is very exciting and mesmerizing. You will pass through the Kali Gandaki River. On the way, you will be provided lunch at the small restaurants. You could observe high hills, rivers, and forests on your journey. Overnight stay will be at Galeshwor.

Day 4 : Galeshwor to Banskharka

On this day, you will be provided breakfast early in the morning. We will be trekking towards the Banskharka for about 3 and a half hour. Banskharka is a beautiful destination that welcomes us with natural beauty as well as the culture and tradition of local people. You may even talk with locals if you know the Nepali language. A visit to this village will provide you knowledge of the lifestyle of the rural community. Overnight stay will be at Banskharka in a local house.

Day 5 : Banskharka to Nagi Village

On this day, we will gradually go down through the lushly forested path from Banskharka. You will be provided for breakfast early in the morning. Then, we head north towards Nangi. This is a 5-6 hours trek that passes along a small and beautiful village that provides stunning views of the nearby mountains and impressive landscapes. Trekkers may also visit an organic farm school. This is located in a Magar village. Overnight stay will be at Nangi.

Day 6 : Nagi Village to Mohare Danda

On this day, we will be leaving Nangi village and heading towards Mohare Danda. The path goes through the beautiful forests of Oak and rhododendron. You will also be observing the magnificent views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Tukuche, and Nilgiri mountains. Mohare is a small hill station offering panoramic views of the surroundings with pleasant settings. In the late-noon, a glorious sunset view could be observed. Then, we will be resting at the eco-community lodge.

Day 7 : Mohare Danda to Pyari Bahurani Tal

Today, we will be trekking to Pyari Bahurani Tal. It is situated at an altitude of 2,668m. You will be trekking for around 4-5 hours. On reaching Tal, you will be mesmerized by its pleasant environment. The Tal looks pretty when you observe it. That is why; it is entitled to this name. The overnight stay will be at this place. However, we remain prepared for our next trek tomorrow.

Day 8 : Pyari Bahurani Tal to Tikot

On this day, we will be leaving Pyari Bahurani Tal and head forward towards Tikot village. The village is situated at an altitude of 2,250m from sea level. You will be trekking through Dandakharka with a magnificent view of Dhaulagiri. The village is best suited to describe rural Nepal. You may observe the lifestyle, culture, and tradition of villagers and capture some photos. Overnight stay will be at Tikot.

Day 9 : Tikot to Khibang

On this day, you will be provided breakfast early in the morning. After a 5-6 hours trek, we will be reaching another beautiful destination called Khibang. The path may be a little rocky and slippery. However, you will be guided by our professional coaches. On the way, you could observe fast flowing rivers, snow-capped mountains, and rhododendron forests. This makes you feel that the journey was worth traveling. In this way, we reach Khibang in the afternoon. We will explore some other interesting places and stay overnight there.

Day 10 : Khibang to Swanta Village

We will be walking up at the dawn. Here, we create our means up to the Poonhill hill station. You can get enjoyment from an immense panoramic sight of the Annapurna Mountain range. You can also enjoy the sunrise view. The view is spectacular when the sun kisses the snow-capped mountains. The mountain changes its color from ashen to admirable gold. After some time, we head towards the Swanta village. You may have to walk 4-5 hours to stay overnight in this village.

Day 11 : Swanta Village to Khopra Rigde

Today, we will be visiting Khopra Danda. The views of the Mountain Fang and other nearby peaks can be seen in their original beauty. The saunter is short and often takes more than a few hours going back and forth from the village. You can still opt for a half a day walk. This depends on if you do not feel like making a long journey. A long journey may be very difficult for someone who is physically weak. We will stay overnight at Khopra Ridge.

Day 12 : Rest day in Khopra Ridge: Tour of Kaire Lake

On this day, we will spend one more day at Khopra Ridge. Today, we will be trekking towards Kaire Lake to attain excellent views of the beautiful scenery. Kaire is considered to be the sacred lake of Hindus. It is supposed that bathing in this sacred lake will help to achieve Nirvana. We can also see several Hindus and Buddhist shrines on the lakeside. A half-day walk from Khopra could also be arranged if you do not want to walk too long. Overnight stay will be at Khopra Ridge.

Day 13 : Khopra Rigde to Narchyang

On this day, we will be walking through the pasture land. The landscape and vegetation have made this area surprisingly beautiful. The houses are made up of stones and mud plaster. They are attached. There is the dominant population of Magar community in this region. You may get knowledge regarding their lifestyle, culture, and tradition. Interview with them could also be fruitful. We will be staying overnight at homestay.

Day 14 : Narchyang to Tatopani

Today, we will descend towards Tatopani via several small villages. In the evening, we will visit the natural hot spring. We will descend through the rough path. In this way, you will get the opportunity to explore Kali Gandaki Valley. You may see the waterfall on the way. After crossing the suspension river, we arrive at Tatopani. This is the major attraction of this region where you will find natural hot water. Our trekking journey ends from today. Overnight stay will be at Guesthouse.

Day 15 : Drive to Pokhara via Beni

We drive to Pokhara where we will stay overnight. We will be arriving at Pokhara by crossing Beni. Beni is a beautiful city with various attractions. It is better to explore some more days to Pokhara if you want. It is one of the best places to discover natural beauty. Do not forget to visit Davis falls, Mahendra cave as well as the lakeside of Pokhara. We do organize other adventures and sports activities besides trek. They include farewell dinner, transportation service, etc.

Day 16 : Drive/Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu

On this day, your successful trek comes to an end. Wake up early to bid a farewell to the spectacular scenery of the Khumbu before boarding your morning flight back to Kathmandu. Watching the Himalayas pass beneath your window, you’ll now be able to recognize many of the major peaks. The hustle and bustle of Kathmandu may come as something of a surprise after the solitude of the mountains. You’ll be transported to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Feel free to relax or explore the local markets and eateries. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars in Thamel where you can enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel to spend the night.

1. Domestic Flight 
Kathmandu to Pokhara and return flight are often affected by weather conditions and congestion which may cause delays, sometimes even for several days. We request you to ensure that you have planned for spare days to account for moderate delays, but can't guarantee against longer delays which can even affect your international flight.

2. A typical Trekking hours per day 
A typical day revolves around the Nepal sunrise and sunset, instead of any Western time schedule. You’ll be walking 5-6 hrs each day on average.

3. Health Issues 
We recommend you consult the doctor to discuss the health issues associated with your trek. We also suggest you bring your own personal first aid kit to supplement the comprehensive. Although, the first aid kit is carried by the Trek Leader.

4. Altitude Sickness 
Many treks in Nepal can take you quite rapidly to high altitudes, so you must give your body the time to acclimatize. If you ascend faster than your body can adapt then you will likely start to develop symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Headache is the most common symptom, while nausea, vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness, and sleep disturbances are some others.
The best way to adapt to higher altitudes is to ascend slowly and gradually. The common method is that you should take 2-3 days to reach 3000m. If traveling to above this height remember to have extra acclimatization days.

5. Safety and security 
You can have Travel Insurance while trekking which is the safest measure. However, there are some measures following which you can implement to ensure safety:

  • Do not flash cash or jewelry 
  • Have an emergency plan 
  • Do not trek alone 
  • Only choose authorized trekking agencies 

6. Insurance 
We recommend you to have an appropriate insurance policy that covers travel in such isolated and mountainous areas, and also includes helicopter rescue from a trusted agency. We recommend you to do good research and find a reputable insurance agent or insurance specialist.

The best time is during the pre-monsoon months of March through May. It is also favorable after post-monsoon. This starts from late September till December. However, it is also possible to trek in February and early September.

They are as not much deluxe as those in the urban areas. However, they are well off than the cheap lodges or budges guesthouse. Teahouses' accommodation is most predominant amongst hikers. They are equipped with furnished wood and solar hot showers. You will have a pillow, mattress, and a blanket along with western toilet facilities. As you ascend higher, the accommodation will be simpler with basic facilities. 
 

Yes, the trek is fixable. We can definitely continue to other trekking as per guest request. However, visit to other trekking sites may include additional charges. 
 

You need to pack your bags lightly because you will not be able to carry heavy loads along with the flight. However, essential items should be kept at least for 14 days. You will not be able to enjoy your journey in the Himalayas unless you pack wisely.
