Trip Description

The Mardhi Himal trek is a striking and demanding trek that brings you closer to the high Himalayas from Nepal. Therefore, it is not a big revelation for anyone to stay longer on the trip. You can walk for a short time, especially with older children to watch things around them. This hike is for people of every age group. However, you should be involved in the trek. You may visit Deurali, Forest Camp, and Low Camp. This journey is very precious with hard to believe scenery, attractive culture, and at ease accommodation. Walking is not that very tiring with all those beauties around. Trekkers will get the chance to visit Sidhing village that is packed with natural beauty. 

The trip passes with the villages that greet you with temperate culture. You may trek to Lumre that is astonishing for the cultural tourism of the local group of people. There is terraced farmland that provides you an insight into the customary farming of Nepal. Farming and cattle rearing is the main occupation of local people residing in the villages. You will be more pleased to see rhododendron forests, over Glacier Rivers, waterfalls, and impressive views of sheer cliffs. On top of that, there are the massive Himalayas that put in beauty to nature. Trek to Lumre which is astonishing for the artistic tourism of the confined community. 

On the way, you will be viewing Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Mardi, Manaslu, etc. We can view the astonishing views of the mountains from Poon Hill and find out the varied Annapurna region. The trek also welcomes you to the temperate surroundings while you visit the Upper viewpoint. Hence, the trip will offer you knowledge and entertainment at the same time. 
 

Outlined Itinerary

Day 1 : Airport pickup and check into hotel

Your journey begins with your arrival in the bustling capital city of Nepal,
Kathmandu. A representative from our team will arrive for your pickup at TIA
who will assist you together with your luggage and transportation to your hotel. There are no planned activities for the day, so you'll check your hotel and luxuriate in the afternoon and evening at your leisure. You may simply want to rest after your long flight, but the lively tourist markets and restaurants of the Thamel are an enticing draw for many visitors.

Day 2 : Trek preparation day and Kathmandu city tour

Kathmandu, an ancient and exotic city is the center of Nepali civilization, and
home to hundreds of temples, shrines, and stupas, very popular with the name
“the city of temples”. No trip to Nepal would actually be completed without an
excursion to the religious and cultural attractions of Kathmandu. It is hard to
Travel quite 100 feet without passing yet one more temple or stupa while walking by the city itself. The valley tour will take you to the main temples and stupas with visits to palaces and museums in between but if only time favors. A day won’t be enough to have the full city tour, however, your guide will take you to the major attractions of the city including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath
temple and Swayambhunath. Breakfast included for the day.

Day 3 : Kathmandu to Pokhara

We will go to Pokhara on the 2nd day. There are two options to head to Pokhara. You can drive or travel by air. A drive would take 7-8 hrs. On the other hand, a flight will take just 25 minutes to reach. You may drive if you want to take pleasure in highway scenes. On your drive, you will view local markets, rivers, forests etc. Otherwise, you can take a small attractive flight.  You will get to view snowy-mountain peaks and high hills if you make a decision to take a fight. It is up to you how you want to take a trip.

Day 4 : Drive to Phedi and trek to Deurali

In the morning, we will give you breakfast early in the morning. After that, we will take a extended drive to Phedi. On the way, you could view the way of life of people as well as the picturesque beauty of Nepal. And then, we hike to Deurali. We will carry on through the forest from Phedi until we arrive at Pitam Deurali. You need to make sure you carry your sleeping bag there. Pitam Deurali is a good-looking mark for you to use overnight. However, we remain ready for our next trip.

Day 5 : Deurali to Forest camp

Today, we will be leaving tourists, other trekkers, and even villagers at the back. On this day, you will enter a charmed forest of brich, giant, rhododendron, mountain oak, maple, and hemlock. You could also view dramatic mountain views on the clear climate day. We will be on foot for approximately 6-7 hours to reach the last target. Forest Camp has some necessary lodges where we will stay overnight.

Day 6 : Forest Camp to Low camp

We will go after the trekking pathway along with moss and lichen-covered woods to a Lower camp. There are usual windows in the woods. They look out into exciting panoramas. The knife-sharp traverses towards Annapurna South. We can observe the Modhi Khola valley to our left. This leads up to the Annapurna Sanctuary. It is also not measured wise to go too elevated very fast. Therefore, we will relax there. Like forest camp, the low camp also has only some vital lodges. We will stay overnight there.

Day 7 : Low camp to high camp

The track breaks out on top of the three lines after an hour or so above low camp. We are out of the forest after a small sheer climb. The edge is lush and sometimes beneath the snow. This path leads us to up to high camp. You can walk around overwhelming views from there. From there, Machapuchhre itself is shut enough to touch which you cannot even visualize. The lodge at the high camp is better than the low camp and forest camp. We will stay overnight at high camp.

Day 8 : High camp to Upper viewpoint, And Back to high camp

The high camp to the Upper viewpoint is not that thorny. It is eye-catching with views of snowy peaks. People from all age groups can do this trek if they are bodily healthy. On the way, you can see gorgeous villages, rhododendron forests that greet you into the eternal wilds. After that, we carry on to the high camp. We will stay all night in lodges if there are not any shortages. However, the High camp only has a number of vital lodges. Therefore, it is advised to book lodges in proceed.

Day 9 : High camp to Sidhing Village

We will take a diverse route on the go back trek. There is a trail that goes down to a siding village from a low camp. The village is well-known for its honey hunting. Honey hunting is done in customary ways. The hunter climbs the rocky cliffs and slides softly towards the honeycomb. You may even take your camera to imprison the process of honey hunting. You can assemble friendly, humble, and simple public at this place. They live a regular life but still have a smile on their faces. We will stay at a home in the usual Siding village.

Day 10 : Trek to Lumre, Drive to Pokhara

We hike from Sidhing village to Lumre and then drive to Pokhara which is a beautiful city. If you are weary of physical activities, you can go boating, food hunt, or experience the nightlife of the city. We will stay overnight at Pokhara, which is the tourist destination. After sometime, we will drive back to the lakeside near Phewa lake. It is better to travel around some more days to Pokhara if you want. It is one of the best places to discover natural beauty. Do not forget to visit Davis falls, Mahendra cave as well as the lakeside of Pokhara. We do organize other adventures and sports activities besides trek. Please feel free to contact the tour operator or guide. They are 24/7 ready in service. We will provide you unused services if you want to explore Pokhara. You can use them anytime. They include farewell dinner, transportation service, etc.

Day 11 : Drive/fly to Kathmandu

On this day, your successful trek comes to an end.  We wake up early to bid a farewell to the spectacular scenery of the Himalayan region before boarding your morning flight back to Kathmandu. Watching the Himalayas pass beneath your window, you’ll now be able to recognize many of the major peaks. The hustle and bustle of Kathmandu may come as something of a surprise after the solitude of the mountains. You’ll be transported to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Feel free to relax or explore the local markets and eateries. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars in Thamel where you can enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel to spend the night. Breakfast is included.

Day 12 : Final Departure

The last morning on your trip to Nepal where you’ll be enjoying a pleasant breakfast while reflecting on all of the memories you have collected on the Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek over the past two weeks. Approximately three hours before your scheduled flight, you will be taken to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. We hope you’ll return to Nepal in the near future to see everything else that it has to offer!

1. Domestic Flight 
The return flights are often affected by weather conditions and congestion which may cause delays, sometimes even for several days. We request you to ensure that you have planned for spare days to account for moderate delays, but can't guarantee against longer delays which can even affect your international flight.

2. A typical Trekking hours per day 
A typical day revolves around the Nepal sunrise and sunset, instead of any Western time schedule. You’ll be walking 5-6 hrs each day on an average.

3. Health Issues 
We recommend you to consult the doctor to discuss the health issues associated with your trek. We also suggest you to bring your own personal first aid kit to supplement the comprehensive. Although, the first aid kit is carried by the Trek Leader.

4. Altitude Sickness 
Many treks in Nepal can take you quite rapidly to high altitudes, so you must give your body the time to acclimatize. If you ascend faster than your body can adapt then you will likely start to develop symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Headache is the most common symptom, while nausea, vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, dizziness and sleep disturbances are some others.
The best way to adapt to higher altitude is to ascend slowly and gradually. The common method is that you should take 2-3 days to reach 3000m. If traveling to above this height remember to have extra acclimatization days.

5. Safety and security 
You can have Travel Insurance while trekking which is the safest measure. However, there are some measures following which you can implement to ensure safety: 

  • Secure your belongings 
  • Do not flash cash or jewelry 
  • Have an emergency plan 
  • Do not trek alone 
  • Only choose authorized trekking agencies 

6. Insurance 
We recommend you to have an appropriate insurance policy which covers travel in such isolated and mountainous areas, and also includes helicopter rescue from a trusted agency. We recommend you to do a good research and find a reputable insurance agent or insurance specialist.

7. Recommended Equipment

  • Down or fibre Jacket, waterproof jacket and trousers, sweater or fleece jacket, warm cotton trousers, shirts and T-shirts, shorts, long undergarments, woolen hat, sun hat, gloves, bathing suit, track suit.
  • Sleeping bag (4 seasons), down jacket, day pack, water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, flashlight with spare bulbs and batteries, lip salve, gaiters.
  • Insect repellent, toiletries, laundry soap, pocket knife, towel, sewing kit, plasters, binoculars, camera, film, cards and personal medical kit.

Trekking needs few days of walking that is continuous. You may find it difficult and boring at some times. Sometimes, you also need to fight with the high altitude. Trekking is not exhausting if you are reasonably fit. We design our trek to make your journey comfortable.  
 

We will run our booked trips under normal situations. There is an opportunity to go for the trip even if other hikers cancel at the end moment. We will not cancel the entire trip even if there is a fewer number of people. Please note that we cannot carry on the trip if there is a political riot, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemic or catastrophes, etc. 
 

You may try both ways, either through a guide or without a guide. You may need to issue some permits. You at least need to hike a trekking guide for a strenuous trek. You need to go through a legal trekking company to get permits for the Upper Mustang trek. 
 

The decision to rent a porter is up to you and typically decided by your level of fitness and/or budget. However, one porter can be shared between two people and may carry up to 25 kg. Many trekkers prefer to hire a porter to possess a more comfortable trek.
 

Usually, your guide advises you to go to the toilet in the tea houses before leaving to prevent the need to go during the trial. However, you may come across a few houses along the trail that will let you use their toilet. But in case of an emergency, you will have to go in the wild if there are no houses nearby.
